My Fiance and I live in Granby, CT and had Rhino Back replace our garage and walkway roof recently. It went about as well as it could possibly go. While it was a struggle to get other roofers we contacted to even call us back, Mike and his crew contacted us within a 1/2 hour of our initial inquiry online and he personally came out to look at the job the next day. After we made a deposit and picked out a color the crew was out there in a week or so. We left for work and when we got back we had a new roof!! They left the area cleaner then it was before they got there. And now we have a roof thats good for the next 50 yrs and a no questions asked warranty that transfers to the next owner. We probably could have found someone cheaper and saved a couple hundred bucks, but for what we got and how easy it was, the money was totally worth it. Mike even sent us brownies and a christmas card for crying out loud!!!

Workers showed up exactly on time and immediately went to work removing old roof. Started at 7am and had new roof on and cleanup completed before the end of the day. Entire process was fully explained beforehand. Best experience I've ever had with a contractor.
Kudos to the entire Rhino-Back Roofing team. Mike and Melanie did a great job for us. Starting at documenting the hail damage with the insurance company to answering all of our questions through out the whole project. The roofing team was careful of shrubs and property, skillful and very efficient through out the installation of multiple roofs on two structures. I cannot say enough good things about Rhino-Back Roofing. The level of service and professionalism, paired with the end result, is far beyond anything I could have hoped for with this project. From the very beginning, Mike and his team were available, informative and made us feel part of the family. We just moved into our very first New England home and found we needed a FULL roof replacement. We just had our roof done, and were very pleased with RhinoBack. Mike and his team were great to work with and followed through to make sure we were completely satisfied with the new roof – even after paid in full. They were very responsive and came back a couple of times to make sure they cleaned everything up (had to wait for the snow to melt on the ground). We got several quotes for our roof, but I’m glad we went with RhinoBack and would absolutely recommend them to friends.
During the quoting stage, I was presented with options and given clear explanations on the pros and cons of each. They went beyond what anyone else did and made recommendations that others overlooked, but made perfect sense to do. The work was completed as scheduled and clean up was thorough. Even after the job was done and paid for, Mike made a point of following up to see if I had any questions or problems. Total professionals! They were great. Came on time, finished quickly – earlier than expected. Very professional. Great owners and staff. Easy to contact. They called and kept us informed on every step of the project. A storm was coming in and they stayed late to make sure the project was finished so we would not have problems with leaks. They made sure to cleanup and the workmanship is wonderful. We have dealt with many contractors (fired a few) through the years and Rhino-Back roofing is the best. We would recommend them 100% percent. Great quality, workmanship and they made that we were happy.
Truly EXCEPTIONAL customer service that is a rarity to come across. The total roofing experience with Rhino-Back roofing was exceptional. All aspects of the job, from the beginning first home visit from Mike Trouern-Trend to evaluate the project, to the promptness of communication relating to the quoting of the project as well as the final installation were seamless. Progress reports on start dates, and timing came regularly from Mike, and Rhino-Back was able to come earlier than expected and completed the job in just a day and a half. The crew that did the actual installation was professional, courteous, and prompt. When they left the job after the first day, the yard was clear of debris and the unused materials were neatly stacked in the driveway. After completion of the job extra care was taken to look for stray scraps of shingles or nails that might had fallen through the tarps. I could not be more pleased with the roofing experience that Rhino-Back provided for my home. I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a new roof or partial roof repair if they enjoy professional service, outstanding quality and reasonable pricing.
We are extremely pleased with our new roof by Rhinoback Roofing. Out of all of the companies that bid on our roof replacement, Mike was the only one who took the time to explain every detail of the project, including his findings from inspecting our attic and covered porch areas. Very professional and friendly. No hard sell or bad mouthing of competitors. Took the time to explain their product, what needed to be done and answer our questions. Generous selection of colors and styles. Worked with OUR schedule, greatly appreciated considering our roof was leaking and causing interior damage. They also went to great lengths not to destroy our flower beds. Meticulous clean up when finished. Appreciated the follow up contact after work was completed. Highly recommend this company. I wish they hung sheetrock and did tree removal.
Mike and his team are awesome…highly recommend! We needed a new roof last year after it was damaged from the terrible winter weather. We had leaking in our kitchen and ice dams all over the roof. We looked at a few companies before deciding to use Mike and his team. Mike seemed like he truly cared and didn’t treat us as just a number. Working with Rhinoback was as painless a process as humanly possible. I contacted 4 local companies for quotes; they were the only ones to call me back. Communication was excellent, their quote was honest and fair, they showed up when they said they would, completed the job quickly and cleaned up thoroughly. We have been putting off this project for years, and we are so relieved to have it behind us and to feel so confident in the workmanship. The thank you note and delivery of brownies was a nice touch too :-)

We decided to replace our existing roof so we contacted three local area contractors. One was more of larger company doing roofing all over CT, the other two were local guys. The larger company gave us a solid quote, but the person who came and looked at the roof was a total salesman. We had some questions about the roof that he could not answer but said he would have someone call us. The other local guy missed the scheduled time then did a drive by the house, providing a good quote, but never even talked to us. Then there was Mike from Rhino. Mike showed up on-time and was very friendly. He looked over the whole roof and even went into the attic to get a good feel for the job. He then spent about an hour taking us through the job, answering all our questions right on the spot. It was obvious he knew his stuff! Gave us outstanding advise that kept us from spending on unneeded modifications to the roof. Mike gave us a very solid quote. He was not as cheap as the larger company, but it was clear we would get an outstanding product from him and his team. I think that the other company was making up the costs on ridge vents along with some other cost cutting adjustments that Mike advised against. We took Mike’s advice and could not be happier. Josh, Mikes project manager was awesome. The team showed up on-time and knocked out the job in two days and we have a big house. They were so friendly and helpful, we cannot say enough positive things about the guys. As for the roof, it looks awesome!! Mike helped us pick the color and he was spot on! We love it! 10 for 10 for Rhino-back roofing – the entire team. It was worth paying a bit more for such quality work and advice.
